My player this week is Clarissa Childs

Sunday: What an outstanding Masters! Great golf and superb drama. Winning The Masters with the final putt is every golf enthusiast's dream.

Thought of walking nine late in the day but many of the members caught "the fever" and decided to play. I have all day tomorrow, Clarissa has an outing back East, so it wasn't much of a set back.

Monday: Walked the course and found it in good shape. Tight fairways, firm greens from  10 1/2 to 11 on the Stimpmeter and the rough ranging from moderate to non-existent, depending on where they decided to over-seed. If we have good weather they'll light it up.

Tuesday: Played 16 holes late in the day with our ubiquitous practice partner Michelle McGann. This was the best Clarissa has hit so far. Maybe the few days with her coach has paid off.

This track is playing extremely fast. Even the long par 4's into the wind are shortened quite a bit due to all the roll we're getting.

Clarissa has decided to try another caddy on the East coast so I'll be looking for a job the rest of the week. I think it will be a good change for both of us.

Wednesday: A three o'clock practice consisting of a little rang action, chipping and putting made it a short day. Clarissa finally received her new bag which was promised by Tucson. It almost made it to L.A. but they spelled Myrtle Beach incorrectly.

Her mom and dad are in town for extra moral support. Hope we don't disappoint.

No luck finding a bag for Atlanta yet, but I have a few leads.

Thursday: Breezy right from the get go. In the neighborhood of 15-20 mph with a few gusts and tomorrow's wind is scheduled to be even higher with gusts at 40.

Shot a fairly steady +1 including birds on 9 and 18. The wind seemed fairly predictable so club selection wasn't difficult .If a few short putts, misreads and lip outs, would have fallen we would be in the hunt. Look for a new winner this week, possibly a rookie. Many of the top players skipped this week which opens the door for the rest of us.

I'll be working The Futures event in Wichita KS next week foe Sam White to take advantage of our travel week. Will keep everyone updated.

Friday: Let's see, a shank and a chilly-dip resulting in 2 doubles, a water ball, a few missed short putts, then throw in an extra double and that pretty much sums up our round.

The 30-40 mph winds never materialized which made the course play easier this afternoon than yesterday morning. No excuse for shooting 80.

Still don't have a bag for Atlanta, but the week isn't over and the axe may fall on a fellow looper at any moment.
